Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the on-site work take?

Generally, we can complete a kitchen in about 2-3 days of work in your home. If there are other areas included such as bathrooms or a laundry room, it may take up to 3-4 days.

Can you install knob and pull hardware?

Yes. Buy the style and finish you like and we’ll install it just where want it.

Should I empty my cabinets?

Yes. We would rather focus on doing the best possible job than trying not to damage your contents in any way. People usually use the opportunity to reorganize their “new” cabinets. You might find things you didn’t know you had and can also discard those bay leaves that expired 9 years ago.

Is it possible to replace old hinges?

In many cases we can install new concealed hinges on your existing doors. If new doors are part of the project, new hinges are included.

Do you install crown molding?

Yes, plus other decorative trim such as onlays or under-cabinet molding.

Can you make a custom color for my cabinets?

Yes. It takes extra time to perfect the color and finishing schedule. If you have a photo to work from that’s a good starting point. A sample will be provided before any work begins.

Are you able to do small jobs such as one bathroom?

We have a 10 linear foot minimum. This is due to dry times between coats and the higher cost of custom materials in small amounts.

Are there bad fumes during the refinishing process?

No. We use waterborne coatings which have very low odor and ultra low VOC’s. You’ll be amazed at how little odor there is.

Should I replace my countertops before or after having my cabinets done?

That depends. We need access to the very top of the cabinet frames in order to do a thorough job. If the old counter tops have a low hanging edge, we will want to do our work after the counter tops are replaced. We can address this issue during the in-home estimate.

Do I have to be home while work is being performed?

No. Feel free to come and go. We are licensed, bonded and insured.
