An antique white cabinet finish from scratch

I’m currently working on an antique white finish with glaze for a client. We’re changing out the old southwestern style doors to a 3″ mitred style that’s pictured below.  Starting with bare wood, primer and paint, glaze, and finally the clear topcoat. It’s interesting how the glaze changes the whole look of the stark white color. We’re using beech wood here because it’s hard and heavy like maple but a little easier on the wallet. The island is going to be a slate color which is going to look pretty neat, I think. I’ll post some photos of the complete job at some point.
